Did you know?
“Books constitute capital. A library book lasts as long as a house, for hundreds of years. It is not, then, an article of mere consumption but fairly of capital, and often in the case of professional men, setting out in life, it is their only capital.” - Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), U.S. president.

Trinity College Library, Technical Services

The Library Technical Services staff are responsible for ordering, receiving, cataloging, and processing resources for the Library's collections.  All new materials are processed immediately on receipt.  Please see the catalog for current order statuses, and the circulation desk if you need assistance in locating anything.

Recommendations for new purchases are welcomed.  Please see our purchase request form.  General questions about purchases and gifts can be referred to Doris Kammradt, our collection development librarian.

The Library supports limited departmental and personal binding requests.  Our policy and order form provides the details.  Note that this does not include theses binding.  Theses binding is arranged between each academic department and the supplier of their choice (usually the College's Central Services Department).

Statistics showing our three year collection growth though 2006/2007 are available in our annual statistics report.  Additional local staff documentation is available from the toolbar on your left (see Procedures Manual, Web Links, and Documents).
