The Roper Center "boasts the oldest and most comprehensive collection of public opinion survey datasets in the world. The focus of the collection is naturally on surveys from the United States, although many surveys from Europe, Latin America and Asia have been acquired, some dating back to the 1940s and 1950s."  The RoperExpress feature allows users to download data immediately to their own computer as SPSS files.  Not all datasets have this express feature, but users who find a dataset that lacks the "express" moniker can request that Roper process the data for immediate download.

Meanwhile, iPOLL is "the best finding aid to locate national US public opinion polls rich in a particular subject, iPOLL contains nearly half a million survey questions and answers asked in the US over the last 65 years by more than 150 survey organizations. And now it is possible to access the catalog and questionnaire directly from iPOLL."
