Collections

Collections comprise approximately 200,000 analog slides and nearly 45,000 digital images, primarily illustrating the history of art and architecture.  Spanning all time periods and geographic areas, holdings include images of architecture, painting, sculpture, minor arts and photography.

A duplicate set of Hartford Studies Project slides also resides within the Image Collections & Services slide collection and includes images reproduced from the photo archives of The Hartford Times newspaper.  These are historical images of Hartford people, places and events.  A sampling has been digitized for online review.  

Digital review units are available to students enrolled in Trinity College art history courses.  For instructions on how to access the folder and image groups for your course, use the Class Images link in left sidebar.
