Box 5/1 of the Resist Collection is sectioned
into two series of 74 folders dated from 1979-1980. The folders
are grant applications sent to the Resist Steering Committee for
consideration. All of the applications in this box were denied
by Resist. (see inventory below for complete list of organizations)
Folders generally include the application from the organization
and the letter of denial sent back by Resist. There are several
cases in which only the application exists in the file. Folders
are arranged in the box in alphabetical order according to the
name of the organization, and folders and inventories are labeled
accordingly. Folders are labeled by the date of the application,
the title of the applying organization, the decision and the date
of the decision made by the Resist Committee.
