Box 8/2 of the Resist collection consists of
102 folders sectioned into 3 different series. The first series
is called "Affiliated Organizations", files dating between
years 1970-72 (see below for complete list) (71
folders). The second series are applications (16 folders) to Resist
from various organizations dating between the years 1968-69. There
are not many of these applications in this section, but according
to a complete listing of the grants in this time period there
were many other grants made. Unlike later dates, the applications
to Resist in these early years of its operation were less formal,
and without much real organization except for a detailed record
book which is also found within this section. Also in the second
series are several folders of grant and funding lists from these
years, as well as later dates. The final series in this section
is called "Historical Information" (15 folders). These
are pamphlets and informational packets which deal with the background
of the Vietnam War time period and what was happening at the time,
mostly concerning the war. The pamphlets are mostly reprints by
various organizations, but are also articles and papers written
by different scholars.
